Sand dams work by trapping sand that normally flows through the seasonal rivers in arid and semiarid areas, which in turn harvests and stores water under it. The sand preserves water from evaporation and preserves it from secondary contamination.

The cost of a sand dam is mainly determined by its size. There are small, medium, and large sized dams; depending on the size across which the dam is being built. The larger/wider the river bend, the larger the dam size.

There are however other factors that may slightly change the cost of the dam, such as the depth of the bedrock

The amount of time required to complete a sand dam is dependent on various factors including; the size of the dam, the availability of the local resources, the amount of labor available as well as the prevailing weather conditions at the time of construction.

However, on average, our sand dams take between And Months.

A sand dam can be built anywhere with a network of seasonal rivers with a natural flow of adequate sand.

There are however technical considerations that need to be made when it comes to deciding the point where the sand dam is best constructed.

Our constructions department has qualified personnel who can guide anyone interested in the technology.

A mature sand dam has a capacity to hold -------------- to -------------- cubic meters of water at any given time; depending on its size.

Sand dams are permanent structures which are known to last a lifetime as long as they are well protected from any physical damage.
