Moving out to learn
Out to the field to learn more about sand dam technology.
A group learning how to site a dam with the help of our technical team.
The sand dam technology is one that intrigues people the world over. The fact that it stands as a solution to so many problems afflicting people the drylands makes it a worthy treasure. And we have not tried to keep it to ourselves. Indeed, we have sought to take it as far as possible and reach as many people as we can with the technology, offering technical support to organizations in India, Swaziland, Botswana, Uganda and many other countries.
More importantly we have sought to teach other people the sand dam technology so that they may apply it in their areas. This is in appreciation of the fact that we cannot reach every region with the same. We host delegations from different parts of the country and the whole world on learning visits. Our staff engages them and teach all about sand dams, listening to and answering their every question. We take them to the field and show them the projects, explaining every dynamic involved before and during the construction. We show them the impacts of the projects and how they have influenced peoples’ lives positively.
