A time to volunteer time and effort to construct a sand dam with the communities.
It is both work and fun to serve the communities.
Challenging the weight of the stone in a positive way.
How would you like to support a sand dam? Excellent Development expeditions, held in conjuction with, and hosted by ASDF give people the chance to experience firsthand the process of constructing a sand dam. They help local communities in the actual construction of a dam. For a whole week they mingle with the community members and learn from them dos and don’ts of constructing a sand dam. They learn their culture and enjoy their cuisine and revel in their hospitality.
In the past 5 years, some of those who have led exceptional teams of expeditions include: Quest Overseas, URS, SJ Berwin and Scout Wilson.
Every expedition team has expressed gratitude for the opportunity and has referred expeditions as good ways to change routine and get engaged in a worthwhile course, albeit for a short while. They all agree that the work, though quite physically tasking, is quite rejuvenating and great fun.
Try it sometime!!
